I keep on getting Can't reach server or communication error but when I check the forums it says that people are online, can anyone help?

Sometimes when fail bukkit crashes usually cause of a plugin, it doesn't completely die, and thus it never auto restarts either and things like the above banner that check the server report it as being online...
It needs constant baby sitting :-
