no okay got o the launcher click the tab settings then go to minecraft releases click 1.8.2-pre1 and at the bottom install then go to main go to mc ve...

Click 1.8 and press launch

i did okay dyou see where it says 1.7.2 lite thing click that box and look for 1.8
